Book 4 Chapter 6 of Tom Jones.

This is part of an ongoing project in which I will record and post one chapter per week of Henry Fielding's Tom Jones over the course of four years.

Huge revelations this week! First off, we learn conclusively why Tom Jones isn't too responsive to Sophia's obvious advances. First off, he feels like he'd be betraying his host, Squire Western.

Second, he's already been messing around with Molly Seagrim! What's that, you say? Who's Molly Seagrim? Glad you asked. It turns out that all this time, Black George has had a daughter, who isn't quite in love with Tom, so much as in lust. Anyway, she's successfully seduced Tom, and he feels so bad of (in his mind) robbing her of her innocence, that he's honor-bound to her!
