Book 7 Chapter 14 of Tom Jones.

This is part of an ongoing project in which I will record and post one chapter per week of Henry Fielding's Tom Jones over the course of four years.

This week's chapter contains a spooky ghost story! Well, no, not really. In fact, it features Tom being mistaken for a ghost. He's pale, covered in blood, carrying a candle and a sword and calling out "Northerton!" Also, the clock has just struck midnight, so you can understand why he'd been mistaken for a ghost.
