Book 12 Chapter 14 of Tom Jones.

This is part of an ongoing project in which I will record and post one chapter per week of Henry Fielding's Tom Jones over the course of four years.

In this chapter, Tom and Partridge are on the verge of entering London, but a man that they travel with threatens them with a pistol and demands Tom's bank note, which Partridge foolishly mentions to him. Tom easily overpowers him, and decides to let him go when it turns out the man is only stealing to provide for his starving family.
