Book 18 Chapter 6 of Tom Jones.

This is part of an ongoing project in which I will record and post one chapter per week of Henry Fielding's Tom Jones over the course of four years.

In this week's chapter, Partridge has a long talk with Allworthy, wherein he recounts his entire history from leaving Allworthy's service up until meeting up with him again in London. He also insists that he isn't Tom's father. They are interrupted, though, by the arrival of Mrs. Waters, who promises to explain everything.
